An ancient biblical scroll has been virtually unrolled thanks to new technology.

Estelle Villeneuve, journalist with Le Monde de la Bible, reported this information and interviewed me on the occasion.

I told her that the few preserved lines correspond to the biblical text that has become official in rabbinical judaism (more precisely to the proto-masoretic text). It is one of the very few Hebrew Bible witnesses between the Dead Sea Scrolls (until the 2nd century AD) and the masoretic text (from the 10th century).
