The University of Agder, in Norway, launches a great research project entitled “‘Biblical’ Texts Older than the Bible.” Three foreign scholars have been invited to take part in the inaugural session: Esther Eshel, Eibert Tigchelaar, and your servant.
I will thus be in Kristiansand on August 13–24 to work on unpublished Dead Sea scrolls, among other things. I will also give a lecture on Enochic literature in Second Temple Judaea, on August 22 at 3:45 PM.
More information on the project’s website.
