I will lead an archaeological tour of Qumran with students from Strasbourg on 4 November 2019.
As I am on research leave from the University of Strasbourg, I have not seen my students for more than a year. They have organized a study tour in Israel, and the least I could do was to guide them at Qumran.
This were most of the Dead Sea Scrolls—and the earliest—were found. But the connection between the scrolls and the ruins of Qumran is debated. By examining the archaeological evidence, we will try to assess the various hypotheses that are set forth.
I am looking forward to it! 🙂
