I was invited by the Cuyamungue Institute to discuss how technology helps us decipher ancient scripts.
This talk is part of the Institute’s “Conversation4Exploration” series.
The invitation reads:
“We are eager to learn how you do what you do, what technology helps render the scripts more visible, the ‘grammatical’ rules of early cultures, and your insights into how writing arose, and what you’ve learned of these cultures, their daily life and cosmology from such intimate knowledge of their writings, both sacred and mundane — and how this has shaped your own views. Also we want to hear about your musical career, and what led you to this work.”
