I am in Atlanta for the ASOR and SBL Annual Meetings!
It is in Atlanta (GA) that the ASOR (American Schools of Oriental Research) and SBL (Society of Biblical Literature) annual meeting take place this year.
The ASOR meeting gathers archaeologists and historians working on the Ancient Near East, whereas the SBL meeting gathers scholars working on the Bible and religions.
As I did last year, I will chair the ASOR “Ancient Inscriptions” session; I have also been invited by the NAPH (National Association of Professors of Hebrew) to give a lecture on Ancient Hebrew Palaeography.
I will be back to France next Tuesday for my course of Introduction to the Bible, which you can watch on the Internet. See you soon! 😉
Congrats Michael !!!
